Ingredient Properties

Pink Himalayan Salt

Found near the Himalayan foothills in a region of Pakistan, pink Himalayan salt is minimally processed and gets its characteristic rosy hue from a wide range of trace minerals including magnesium and potassium. Himalayan salt can improve your skin or replenish you after a bout of illness.

Kalahari Salt

Mineral-rich salt from the Kalahari desert ‘remineralizes’ the body, detoxifies, relaxes muscles, and promotes healing.

Organic Brown Sugar

Brown sugar which removes dead cells is often used for exfoliating skin. It is a natural source of glycolic acid, a small size alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that can penetrate deep into the skin. Brown sugar exfoliates by loosening the bonds of dead cells from the outer skin so they can be washed away which promotes healthy skin cleansing, increased circulation and helps buff lackluster skin to a healthy, polished glow. The gentle exfoliation encourages cell turnover, which can produce fresher, firmer skin. Brown sugar helps clean pores, removes impurities and also has anti-bacterial properties that can help prevent acne and pimples.

Helianthus annuus (Sunflower Seed)

This oil contains a wide range of fatty acids , which include palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid. Sunflower oil is also rich in vitamin E which targets skin health and regenerating cells. Thus it helps protect the skin against damage from the sun, as well as the natural degradation of age that occurs when free radicals are present in the body. Antioxidants like vitamin E neutralize free radicals, keeping them from destroying or damaging healthy cells. This oil aids in  the  reduction of scars, and facilitates wound healing.

Hemp Seed (Cannabis sativa)

Hemp seed oil is one of the most balanced natural sources of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and is also rich in Vitamin E and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc and calcium. It is used to prevent signs of ageing and to increase elasticity and retain hydration. The oil has a similar composition to skin lipids thus making it an excellent emollient and moisturiser. It also helps to prevent outbreaks because of its hormone balancing properties due to its content of gamma-linolenic acid.

Macadamia integrifolia (Macadamia)

This oil is lightweight and has a very similar chemical profile to human sebum. It is ideal for mature or dry skin containing one of the highest sources of Palmitoleic fatty acids which are vital for combating premature ageing in the skin. It contains an ideal balance of Oleic and Linoleic fatty acids, which give the oil its regenerating and moisturing properties while also helping to prevent moisture loss in the trans-epidermis. As it is high in phytosterols it helps to repair the skin’sbarrier function providing all the building blocks necessary for the skin.

Moringa oleifera (Moringa)

Moringa oil is extracted from the seeds of Moringa oleifera,  and is sometimes called  oil Ben oil because it contains high amounts of behenic acid. It is one of the best moisturizers for the skin and can be applied to the skin as a massage oil. It is very rich in omega- 9 fatty acid ( oleic acid ) which makes it an excellent moisturiser. The behenic acid in the oil is responsible for its skin smoothing and hair conditioning properties. Moringa oil eases dry skin and helps dry, irritated skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It is also beneficial for acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties, and can also be used as a spot treatment for acne and acne

Vitis vinifera (Grape Seed)

Grape seed oil protects, heals and beautifies the skin with its astringent and moisturising properties. It is rich in beta-carotene and vitamins D, C and E while also containing concentrations of fatty acids such as palmitic, stearic and linoleic acids which aid in minimising the appearance of both wrinkles and scars. It is light and easily absorbed into the skin. Grape seed oil is also rich in polyphenols which are anti-inflammatory antioxidants known to slow down the ageing process and prevent break outs.

scarring.

Lime oil is fragrant, uplifting, cleansing, and stimulating. It is also an anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants while aiding to balance emotions.

Citrus paradisii (Ruby Grapefruit)

Cymbopogon citratus (Lemongrass)

Lemongrass oil is revitalising and toning for the skin. It is excellent for oily skin and acne helping to unblock pores. It also has anti-septic properties.

Lavandula angustifolia officinale (Lavender)

Lavender is the most versatile of all essential oils. Its cicatrisant properties help the skin heal faster and the cytophylactic properties will help it do so with less scarring. The soothing and anti-inflammatory action of lavender oil will also have a balancing action on the skin and can be used for dermatitis, eczema and acne. It is anti-bacterial and anti-viral.

Ocimum basilicum (Basil)

Regenerating, stimulating and uplifting. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is great for muscle spasms and helping with adrenal fatigue. It is used to promote emotional balance.

Rosmarinus officinale (Rosemary)

Known for its rejuvenating properties, Rosemary stimulates cell renewal and improves dry or mature skin, combating the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also clears acne and blemished skin by regulating oil production and improving circulation.

Citrus sinensis (Sweet Orange)

This oil assists the lymphatic system, helping to detoxify a congested skin and although it is a good general skin tonic, it is great for older more mature skin. It also helps with dermatitis, as well as acne and soothes skin that is dry or irritated. The general tonic action seems to stem from the action it has on supporting collagen formation in the skin, which is required for a healthy, young-looking skin. Orange oil has anti-septic, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.  Highly beneficial for dry and ageing skins, it promotes collagen production and facilitates the absorption of Vitamin C.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

Vitamin E is both a nutrient and an antioxidant that protects and repairs the skin. Antioxidants are agents that neutralize the oxidant effect of free radicals, which are molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles
